Where's Archie - a bit of summer fun
By www.blandfordmathstutor.co.uk | Friday, June 10, 2011, 12:24
Archie the Acorn was born in Blandford (he's a little woolly hat that I knitted) and he spent last summer travelling the world (honestly!) covering over 36,000 miles and visiting Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and several European countries. This year (with the aid of computer wizardry) he's at it again. If you want to join in the fun, especially if you have kids who want to show off their knowledge of travel and geography, it's very simple to get involved. All you have to do is tell us the name of the famous landmark or city that Archie is stood in front of each time. You can see from the pictures the places he has already visited.
-
This is Archie's first stop. Do you know the name of the famous waterfall?
-
His second stop. What's the name of the famous landmark he's in front of?
-
Stop 3 and Archie's still in Europe. What's the name of the famous landmark this time?
To find out where he is today just click here.
Archie is going to be popping up somewhere new every Monday, Wednesday and Friday throughout the summer, so there are lots of chances to join in the fun. You could even win some goodies into the bargain.
