Witness appeal after burglary in Blandford

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward
after a burglary in Blandford.
The incident, in which offenders forced
entry through a window into the Costa Coffee shop at Salisbury Street and stole
a safe, happened between 6.50pm on Thursday, 6 January and 7.30am on Friday, 7 January
2011.
Police Constable Jez Brotherton, of Blandford
police, said: “The offenders gained entry via the rear of the property and
very probably used Short's Lane behind Costa Coffee to access the location.
“A two feet by two feet dark
grey safe containing money has been taken.
“I would urge anyone who noticed any suspicious
activity around the Costa Coffee shop or along Short’s Lane during that
night to get in touch urgently.
“I would also like to speak
with anyone who has information about those responsible.”
