Police in North Dorset are becoming increasingly concerned for a 28-year-old woman who has been missing from her home for two weeks – with a picture of the missing woman being released.

Officers believe that the missing woman may be in the Bournemouth area.

Helen Van-Duivenbode, of Okeford Fitzpaine, near Blandford, was last seen on Monday, 20 December 2010. Her family reported her missing ten days later.

Sergeant Murray Haynes, of Blandford police, said: “This is very unusual behaviour for Helen – she keeps in regular contact with her family and to have been missing for such a length of time is a cause of great concern.

“I understand that Helen has friends in the Bournemouth area and I would urge anyone who knows of her whereabouts to get in touch immediately.

“I would urge Helen to speak with her family – we simply want to know that you are safe and well.”

Helen is white, around five feet six inches tall, with shoulder length black hair and brown eyes.

It is not known what Helen was wearing when she was last seen.

Sergeant Haynes continued: “I would like to hear from anyone who has seen Helen, or had any sort of contact from her, since Monday, 20 December 2010.

“Any information could help us to trace her in order to make sure that she is ok.”

Anyone with any information or knowledge as to Helen’s whereabouts should call Dorset Police on 01202 or 01305 222 222. Incident number: 30:221.
