Police in Blandford are

appealing for witnesses and information following a burglary at a home

address in the village of Milborne St Andrew.

The incident, in which offenders

stole a watch and a small amount of cash from an address in the Bladen

View area, is believed to have occurred sometime between 8.15am and

7.30pm on Thursday, 16 December 2010, while the homeowner was out.

Police Constable Stewart Gates,

of Blandford Police, said: “If anyone has any information, or saw

anything or anyone suspicious in or around the village on Thursday, 16

December I need to hear from them.

“I’d also like to remind residents to take care and ensure all doors, windows and gates to your home are locked.

“Check that the garden is clear

of objects that can be used to break doors and windows, remove anything

that aids climbing and do not leave bags, purses, keys or valuables on

view near doors and windows.”

Local officers

have conducted house to house enquiries in the area and have been

providing reassurance to residents following the burglary.

Witnesses

and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on

call the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where

mobile phone tariffs may apply.
