Find a Valentine's Gift in Blandford Forum

Personally, I'm not a big fan of Valentines Day. I don't like it when shops conspire to guilt me into making an enforced romantic gesture. I like to think that I make romantic gestures spontaneously and their value is all the greater for it. But I suppose for those to whom romance doesn't come naturally, a guideline or two could be beneficial?

Here's a few gift ideas:
Pampering: Blandford has a few places where you can get a good massage and that's guaranteed to relax your lover. Try The Blandford Health and Beauty Centre or Essence Beauty Boutique.
Chocolate: It's a cliche, but as with all cliches, there some truth in it. If your partner has a sweet tooth, then tickle those ivories with a chocolate fix. Thorntons in Hallmark is probably your best bet unless you really a box of Celebrations from Tesco is sending the right sort of message.
Flowers: Another cliche. But I know women who expect flowers as part of the Valentines deal and would be mortified if they didn't materialise. Go to Florabunda on East Street for all your blooms.
Cards: Probably the very least you can do. But again, it's important. Hallmark is the obvious choice, but Cards and Things is worth a look and some of the more boutiquey shops in town will stock more crafty cards too.
Jewellery: A classic, and who would refuse some new shiny on Valentine's Day? Pop along to Horrocks & Web for some advice, or for a more modern take, try Moonfleet.
