Christmas Recycling in Blandford Forum

If you're anything like us, your house is now brimming with rubbish. Wrapping paper, food packaging, rapidly balding christmas tree and even unwanted gifts. Tempting as it is to fill a bin liner and be done with it, it's important, and pretty easy, to recycle most if not all of it.
Wrapping Paper
Is the easiest thing to deal with, particularly if you have a fire in your home - use it as a firelighter! Otherwise the council will take it away with the rest of your recycling.
Food packaging
Again, a lot of it, the unwaxed card and paper, will go in with the usual recycling. Plastics may need to be taken to either the recycling centre at the Ham and Marsh Car Park or up to Blandford Waste Management Centre which is where you'll be going anyway if you have...
Real Christmas Trees
Get it chipped and used for compost at the Blandford Waste Management Centre.
Unwanted Gifts
It's inevitable that some gifts will not be wanted. Fortunately, Blandford Forum has a wealth of charity shops, any one of which will be delighted to take that present off your hands and sell it to raise money for a good cause. Beats it cluttering up your house until next Christmas!
