Brewery makes a clean sweep for Founders' Day

MORE than 250 team members from Hall & Woodhouse managed pubs across the south and west turned out on one of this summer's unseasonal cold mornings to take part in the brewery's community litter pick.

Locally, the pubs that supported Founders Sweepers, included the Crown Hotel in Blandford Forum, the World's End near Morden, the Yachtsman and St Peter's Finger in Poole, the Half Moon in Shaftesbury, the Mountain Ash in Verwood, the Halfway Inn, Old Granary, and Ship Inn, in Wareham, the Ship Inn and Smuggler's Inn in Weymouth and the Angel Inn, Olive Branch, and It is the second year the event has been organised to celebrate Hall & Woodhouse's Founders' Day.
The company's retail director David Hoare said: "Hall & Woodhouse was founded in 1898, and thanks to the continued support of communities around our public houses, it is still going strong today. We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the day Hall & Woodhouse was founded, than by going out into the many towns and villages that surround our public houses, and doing our bit to help keep them tidy.
