We all noticed the chill in the air today around town and there was even some flurries of snow about first thing this morning, but the forecast for the rest of the week looks set to get colder still.

The mild winter we've been experiencing is about to come to end as clear skies lead to fast falling temperatures that are likely to see night temperatures down to -4C and even day temperatures below freezing on Friday.
The most important thing is to be aware of ice on roads and pavements and take precautions. You can keep an eye on the forecast here.

Well, the forecast today was optimistic! My thermometer didn't go over 0C and my car door was frozen closed.
